I need a black box (pfSense) which i will put inbetween our line for shaping purposes. This should be working fully transparent, like a bridge. There is no need for natting etc. just something like transparent shaping. My Problem at the moment is, i have no clue how to do so. Maybe you guys can give a answer to the following:

      1. Is this generally possible?
      2. If so - what are the approximate steps to set it up?

Check http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Traffic_Shaping_Guide#Using_Layer_7_with_a_bridging_firewall on enabling the bridge for shaping.

You will then use the floating rules on per interface (of the bridge) to enable shaping.
