      Hello All,
I will like to seek the advise and expert opinion of you all on the installation of pfsense. We have a HP Proliant ML350 G3 server with 2GB RAM and four (4) 36GB Hard drives in a Smart Array RAID controller. We will like to know if this hardware is sufficient to cater for 2500 clients passing through pfSense with QoS (layer7 filtering) and traffic shaping enable to block p2p traffic. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

      Thank you.

The most important factor in sizing your hardware is throughput. What sort of WAN connection do you have?

Also that server came in a variety of configurations. What cpu(s) do you have?
