When you change the order of the System Logs.

I have an issue with the DHCP server of my ISP, so wanted to send them a copy of what was happening.  Normally, I have the system logs sorted with newest entries on top, for easier checking.  But, sending someone else the logs, I thought it best to have them in true time order, so I used the setting page to put the logs back in non-reversed order.  Cut/Pasted what I wanted, and then flipped back to reverse setting.

Since then, there have been no entries logged for dhclient, but I know it's continuing to renew every 12 hours or so, by looking in /var/db/dhclient.leases.re0.

BTW, this is with version 1.2.3.

      Cheers.

Some processes need to restart before they will log again. Try going to Status > Interfaces, and do a release/renew on the interface and then see if it starts logging again.

Yeah, that kicked it back into gear.  ;D

Now my log is flooded with:

          dhclient[5428]: DHCPREQUEST on re0 to 10.252.48.1 port 67
          dhclient[5428]: SENDING DIRECT

Messages every minute or so again.  :o

          Cheers.
