      Hi,

I have a customized snapshot of pfsense running from the harddisc with squid package installed.
Now I want to create a bootable ISO with all the modifications and packages preinstalled.

What I know is, I will have to install a developers build, do the bootstrap and set an appropriate overlay.tgz.
But, what is the best practice to preinstall the squid (and perl) package?

In general, is it possible to include squid on the bootcd? Will I have to make sure that the squid-cache directory is created on the ram-disc?

      Many thanks in advance.

      Manuel

This is not supported. If you want to do something like that you will have to find your own way (livecd with packages). There have been discussion earlier why this is not a good idea (search forum and mailinglist).
