I recently needed to reinstall my pfsense from scratch after an SSD-crash.
Loaded a backup of my xml-file and the system was running again.

I did need to install the package siproxd to get my telephony working.
A bit later I also wanted to install the TFTP-server that I sometimes need to upgrade firmware….

This package didn't install properly somehow.
I thought to fix it by removing the package and then reinstall it....
"reinstall this package didn't work either"

I'm always getting this dialogue, which seem to me unfinished....:

      Removing package...
      Removing TFTP components...
      Tabs items... done.
      Menu items... done.
      Services... done.
      Loading package instructions...
      Deinstall commands...

Can I do something from the console to fix this?

You can get a config backup, edit out the package info, then restore it.

            OK, thanks….

But that means a restart of the router....
I need to wait at least a week before I can afford that... I will get killed if the Internet goes down another time....

You can use the "viconfig" command to edit the config live without rebooting. Just be careful.

                Thanks….

I'm very familiar with vi, so I thought that was even a safer way to go.....
I deleted the lines and then installed the package, just fine...

                thank you very much
