      Hi All,

I am a newbie with Pfsense and I apologise in advance if this issue has been already object of other discussions.

I have 2 pfsense boxes that I would like to configure as redundant (if fw1 goes down, fw2 should take over without service disruption).
Firewalls are behind a transparent router. I found a tutorial on pfsense website that explain how to implement this solution using 3 public ip addresses for the WAN failover configuration.
I was wondering if there is any chance to configure the 2 devices in cluster using only 1 public IP address.

      Thanks,
      Graziano

So far a I know, this is not possible. You have to use 1 ip for each device and 1 for the shared IP.

          Thank you for your reply.

Oh! That's not good news! There is not even a workaround?
