I need your expert help please.

I've been running dd-wrt/tomato for years but now I find the common home routers insufficient for my connections.

I run 2xEth 9xWireless and 2 xbox's that seem to require upnp otherwise get 'NAT Strict' issues.

I tried an out-of-the-box solution with a Netgear WNDR4500 - the latest and greatest from netgear, but it seems to be flaky even with the current firmware; xbox's get latency problems.

I am now looking at other solutions - and pfsense is a possibility, along with the new wireless router from Mikrotik: RB751U-2HnD.  Even the tplink seems good: http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?categoryid=238&model=TL-WR1043ND  - very cheap at around £40.

      What would you folks recommend??

      many thanks in advance.

It more depends on your through put. Personally I have never had a good experience with any low end budget router. I am running a ALIX board which is much more stable. I always found the budget routers to crash.

Hosted desktops and servers with support without complication.
