      Hi All,

I have a PFSENSE failover system setup however DHCP is not working.  Been browsing the forums and my error seems not to show up.

Acording to the DHCP Status all states are in recover.  I have checked the log and each DHCP instance is reporting:

dhcpd: Failover CONNECTACK from dhcpX: remote failover relationship name dhcpI does not match
(Where x is the id on the primary host, and I is X+1)

This is for all 20 of my dhcp instances.

What has caused this, and is there an easy fix.

      Alan

On the primary on each DHCP tab, make sure the IP is listed of the secondary in that subnet.

Also make sure that udp ports 519 and 520 are allowed on each interface between the primary/backup IPs (there was a bug with these rules that was fixed in 2.0.1)

          Hello jimp,

Luckily i am running 2.0.1 so that is all good.  I double checked the IP's and found i was using the failover interface address and not the address of the backup in each VLAN.  I have changed this and all is now working.

          Cheers

          Alan
