According to the best source of information it is supported.
I'm not sure if it actually supports 802.11 speeds though.

Thanks. I read carefully the http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=mwl&apropos=0&sektion=4&manpath=FreeBSD+8.1-RELEASE&arch=default&format=html reference, using freebsd 8.1, and says… " Supported features include 802.11n..." ... "Devices support 802.11n, 802.11a, 802.11g, and 802.11b operation with transmit speeds appropriate to each.". I presume he can get 11n speeds.

Thanks to the reference in the web for pfsense.

No you can't get 802.11n speeds with that card.

802.11n rate control does not exist in FreeBSD 8.1.  FreeBSD 9 is closer, but still needs some patches, and even then that is for some ath cards, not sure if that one (mwl) is included.
