All, I am looking at adding a second subnet for some legacy equipment that I can not port the IPs of

I want to add a second subnet to the LAN interface

I tried adding a IP Alias of say 192.168.5.1/24 which goes on just fine

I then add IP alias on node 2 of 192.168.5.2/24

      Also works,

When I go to add a carp of 192.168.5.254/24 it drops the master as the backup and shows the carp as INIT for 192.168.5.254 but it is accessible

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on what I might need ot adjust for this to work correctly.

      Regards

      James

That should work exactly as you describe, though you will need to make sure your firewall rules on that interface will pass traffic from the new subnet.

        I've done that several times
