      I am new to pfSense and noob, use since last Years FreeBSD.

      I'm confused with Configuration for VLAN and pfSense, have googled since weeks, but no found for single WAN and single LAN Configuation, multi WAN, multi LAN is described

      http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Main_Page

      Have all read, but…

      Installed newest pfSense

      8.1-RELEASE-p6 FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE-p6 #0: Mon Dec 12 18:15:35 EST 2011    root@FreeBSD_8.0_pfSense_2.0-AMD64.snaps.pfsense.org:/usr/obj./usr/pfSensesrc/src/sys/pfSense_SMP.8  amd64

      Hardware:

      ADSL Modem
      Motorola Netopia 3347NWG, with 4 Ports

      HP ProLiant N40L, Turion II Neo N40L, 1x 250GB, Micro-Tower, for pfSense

      http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13716_div/13716_div.html

      Ethernet Card, bge Driver, WAN
      Embedded NC107i PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Server Adapter

      Intel EXPI9301CTBLK, 1000CT Gigabit Adapter PCIe, em Driver, LAN

      http://www.intel.com/Products/Desktop/Adapters/Gigabit-CT/Gigabit-CT-overview.htm

      Netgear ProSafe GS108E, 8 Port Gigabit Switch

      http://www.netgear.de/products/business/switches/prosafe-plus-switches/GS108E.aspx

      Have 3 PC, all FreeBSD, and VoIP Phone.

      Default is now Gateway ADSL Modem IP Address 192.168.1.110

      pfSense LAN WebGUI is 192.168.1.101
      pfSense WAN is 192.168.1.100

      PCs IP Address are

      PC2 192.168.1.2, Switch Port 2
      PC3 192.168.1.3, Switch Port 3
      PC4 192.168.1.4, Switch Port 4
      192.168.1.5-192.168.1.7 reserve
      VoIP Phone 192.168.1.8, Switch Port 8

      Naturally can set DHCP Server on LAN 192.168.1.2-192.168.1.99

      Wish only working pfSense with one WAN, one LAN, one Lan Net.
      Do I need to separte LAN and DMZ? All mine PC are on LAN, and this is DMZ I think.

      Which WAN Type should I use PPPoE (ADSL Modem) or something others?

      Do I need VLAN and which Configuration for WAN, LAN eventually VLAN is working here?

      What must I use for working Internet for mine FreeBSD PCs in

      /etc/rc.conf

      Now is there
      ifconfig_re0="inet 192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.0"
      defaultrouter="192.168.1.110"

      Thanks in Advance

          I can't change mine LAN Subnet from 192.168.1.0/24 many Configurations and Scripts have this 192.168.1.2-8.

          But should I change WAN Subnet to 192.168.2.0/24, perhaps?

              Thanks Perry

              Have switched better all mine PC and VoIP to LAN Subnet 192.168.2.0/2 and use LAN Gateway 192.168.2.101 from HP pfSense.
              Works excellently. Now must I more learn about pfSense.

              No PPPoE, no DHCP, all statically.

              Have in

              /etc/rc.conf

              ifconfig_msk0="inet 192.168.2.3 netmask 255.255.255.0"

              pfSense

              defaultrouter="192.168.2.101"

              ADSL Modem

              #defaultrouter="192.168.1.110"
