    List of NIC Hardware for which to turn on or off various hardware acceleration?

      hey all,

      In the pfSense setup there are a few check boxes related to hardware acceleration.

      Some are disabled by default due to some NIC's having broken implementations.  Others are enabled by default.

      Is there a list somewhere of which NIC's should have these settings enabled, and which are better to leave them disabled on?

        I'd be also definitely interested in that.

        At least a way to determine if a specific NIC behaves correctly or not in these aspects. I turned these on an off, but didn't see any difference.

          Reading the man pages for the specific driver might give some clues, for example the Intel em driver:
