Stupid Q: What does /## suffix do in pfSense config
-
I've successfully put a pfSense router in to a Windows domain and using it load balance two AT&T uVerse connections for our business. I got DNS, DHCP, and all the other wonderful stuff to work, and it's the first time I've ever touched the software….
So what the hell does the 192.168.1.1 /24 thing do?
-
/24 is the subnet mask. It would be equivalent to 255.255.255.0 (11111111.11111111.11111111.00000000 = 24 1's).

Thank you very much. I was able to find a good definition and I understand better now. ;D
