      i try to install pfsense 2.0.1 amd64 on HP Proliant ML350 G5 (intel xeon 1,6) but is not boot from amd64
      if i try with 1386 version everything is ok

        Do you know the CPU supports the 64bit instruction set?

        Maybe the BIOS needs to enable 64bit instruction support.

        The startup output should display the CPU details and features, please the output from the pfSense shell command

        dmesg

        from the line beginning

        CPU:

        to and including the line

        real memory

        Here is a sample from my system:

        CPU: VIA Samuel 2 (797.74-MHz 686-class CPU)
          Origin = "CentaurHauls"  Id = 0x673  Family = 6  Model = 7  Stepping = 3
          Features=0x803035 <fpu,de,tsc,msr,mtrr,pge,mmx>real memory  = 268435456 (256 MB)</fpu,de,tsc,msr,mtrr,pge,mmx>

        I expect there will be at least two features lines and no more than about 8 lines in the area of interest.

        What happens when you try to boot the amd64 variant of pfSense?
