Dynamic DNS access over local network

i have run into an issue, i set up my dynamic dns to wan1. it works from an external network but i cant access the dyndns locally.
for example when i want to access a machine via rdp i type in name.dyndns.org:port and that works externally but when i try the same thing over the local network it times out.
did i miss something?

Enable NAT reflection. (check the doc wiki)
