    How to install .bash_history?

      Good Afternoon. Few days ago, ive some config on my interfaces and squid.. How to view my .bash_history? Ive tried to find it in the box its directories but i found none (.bash_history).. I want to track what ive type in the shell. Thanks in advance :)

        On my boxes, i'ts cleaned after every logoff from console/ssh.

          Agree, I'd like to keep it also, rather than being cleaned after every logoff from console. Can this be turned off somewhere?

            Try put this in  /root/.tcshrc file (if you are using the default shell)

            set history = 1000
            set savehist = 1000

              There is no .bash_history because the shell isn't bash. If you set the items ccesario noted, your history will be saved across logins and visible by running 'history'.
