Boot up pfSense Live Installation

  • Hi can i ask how to burn the ISO file to a live CD?
I done it many times but after booting it,
    it wont boot automatically
i think the installer dont have an autorun so it wont boot up

Please help im a new user of pfSense.

  • Your probably burning the iso as a file and not an image. I make this mistake quite often. Not knowing what system you are using, no-one can really help.

  • I think the IMAGE FILE of the pfsese.iso is missing, cause when i extract
it i didn't see any image file in it.
what should i do to that?
    please reply :-[

  • The downloaded .iso file should be burnt to a CD as a DISK IMAGE, not as a file. The downloaded .iso file should be uncompressed but otherwise not unpacked in any way before burning.

I don't understand - what have you done and what are you expecting to happen that doesn't happen?

Have you selected option 99 to install to a hard drive? If not pfSense won't boot from the hard drive.

Have you read any of the install documents in http://doc.pfsense.org or any of the install tutorials referenced in the forums?

You must be downloading the wrong file then. Get the iso from a mirror of your choice here:
