      Hi can i ask how to burn the ISO file to a live CD?
      I done it many times but after booting it,
      it wont boot automatically
      i think the installer dont have an autorun so it wont boot up

      Please help im a new user of pfSense.

        Your probably burning the iso as a file and not an image. I make this mistake quite often. Not knowing what system you are using, no-one can really help.

          I think the IMAGE FILE of the pfsese.iso is missing, cause when i extract
          it i didn't see any image file in it.
          what should i do to that?

            The downloaded .iso file should be burnt to a CD as a DISK IMAGE, not as a file. The downloaded .iso file should be uncompressed but otherwise not unpacked in any way before burning.

            I don't understand - what have you done and what are you expecting to happen that doesn't happen?

            Have you selected option 99 to install to a hard drive? If not pfSense won't boot from the hard drive.

            Have you read any of the install documents in http://doc.pfsense.org or any of the install tutorials referenced in the forums?

              You must be downloading the wrong file then. Get the iso from a mirror of your choice here:
              http://www.pfsense.org/mirror.php?section=downloads
