      Hello,

I using PfSense for my dual ISP.

It works fine if I go through VmWare but on my server is a ATOM performance are horrible then launched Win7 and VmWare so I wanted to install it physically.

However, drivers of all my usb wifi cards are obviously missing the kernel :/

I tried adding them but I currently blocking.

      I download it on :

      http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=48&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true#2302 (RTL8192cu)

I have already make it on my server to directory and tar -xf it after i launch the command ./install.sh but i got an error message "Command not found".

      Someone can help me ?

P.S : I use for the moment for adding driver a developper version with make command and others.

I don't think that card is supported by FreeBSD, and hence pfSense.

The Realtek page doesn't have any FreeBSD drivers.

            Are they all the same?
You should avoid ndisgen if you can, the chances of making it work are very low.

hum … The only choice is to buy a new usb adaptator ?!?

what is wrong with drivers and PfSense ... ?

i got the same problem than Doktor Jones, i write the driver (.ko) but when i launch it i got a kernel panic..

I try all version of .inf ( xp, 2k, win7, vista ) only xp or 2k seen to work but with error :(

On other forum for Ubuntu i read ndiswrapper work with this adaptater then ndiswrapper & ndisgen don't make the same job ?

Unfortunately Ubuntu and pfSense are very different.
Just because you can make an NDIS driver work with Linux does not mean it will work with FreeBSD.
Vista or Win7 drivers will not work as you found.
What are you using to compile it?

As CMB recommended in the other thread you would almost certainly be better off getting a supported NIC.

The problem is on my configuration i don't have any slot of extension.

Then i need NIC over USB and i don't know the list of this work with PfSense.

I search on google and other but i don't found this

I assume you need these to be WIFI.
