It was working well for a few weeks, then it decided to not load anymore and it gave loads of error, the computer in question is been subject to several black outs, not sure if that might be the origin of the problem…what should i do now?
      Thanks

        Hi There!
seems like the computer is trying boot from LAN device.
changing the boot device priority to pfsense installed disk might solve the problem
        thanks

i love pfsense because i love open source.

BIOS not finding a boot device, so most likely hardware failure.

Thanks, while looking into it, it seems that the hard disk it's not with us anymore  :( i am going to try to disconnect and re-connect it again to see if it comes back to life again.
I had this problem before, but after restarting the pc a couple of times it would load again, now it doesn't want to know about it…

Ok, here is what i have done.
Taken over the pc cover and removed the hard disk, i was amazed on how much dust can be found in a piece of machinery almost 10 years old, i then screwed back the hd in place, put back the cover and guess what? still no luck with the same error message, i then remembered that i did not reconnect the wires on the hd  ;D  so opened up again, restarted, and now is back in business, thanks you guys!  :D
