I would like to give 2.1 snapshots a try but I would like to not have to open the FB since I have a wireless PCI card and all is working fine..dont want to mess anything up in the process..

Yes it should work fine, though there is still this slow re-mount problem on Nano.
Perhaps you should have your wifi card more securely mounted.  Seems like you should be able to open the case without causing it to stop working!  ;)

This is still for testing purposes. You probably shouldn't run it if you can't afford some downtime.

Edit: Make sure you uninstall packages first (or make sure they're compatible) unlike me.  ::)

          Thanks for the info!  :)

It's the pci ribbon extension I have what I don't trust..  But in the event I need to reinstall pfsense 2.0.1 I believe I should be able to without messing it up.  I already had one of these break where the ribbon cable was soldered, that's why I don't trust them.

Upgrading now and will report back.

I did the upgrade but the WebGUI kept saying upgrade in progress, firewall will reboot after completed, and then it stopped serving the WebGUI and it never rebooted.  I have a feeling I will be down for the count if I reboot it manually… :(

EDIT:  Upgrade worked after a manual reboot.  I saw what you meant by "slow" i.e. when I save/apply a change it takes a bit, but it's ok since I don't sit on the webgui changing settings all day  ;)

I don't know if it's me but I notice everything faster and snappier (or my firewall needed a reboot?  LOL)   I do need new files to turn off LCD and to change the light to green, etc etc, you have those around? :)

            Thanks!!!

EDIT2:  It is DEFINITELY faster, I can tell, is it caching or what?  I am very happy with this even on DEVELOPMENT!  Good job guys!!!
