      2.1 snapshot from May 2nd.
      I'm seeing this file **in /tmp

      captiveportaldb{$cpzone}.lock**

      I'm pretty sure {$cpzone} is supposed to be replaced by whatever name your zone was given.
      I have only one zone so this hasn't caused any problems yet and haven't checked with more than one, yet I think its probably a good idea to get this fixed.
