I have a php script that checks the WAN IP address and if it changes then the pfSense box reboots.

This is to prevent a problem I have with site 2 site VPNs not establishing SAs after the IP change. pfSense –- IPSEC ---- PIX

I was wondering how to ensure it runs every minute. I have tried to add it to the crontab but it seems to get overwritten.

      ??

Download your config.xml, then at the bottom add your cron items there (you'll find a cron section with some items already there. Make sure you run a recent snapshot.
