Just about to receive an Intel Pro/1000 PCI NIC which could be added to my little Atom box which is running pfSense 2.0.1. embedded on nanoBSD . Thus far I have configured the box for VLAN capability using the onboard Realtek RTL8101E Gigabit for LAN and although I have not tested anything yet with the Netgear GS108v2 switches yet the VLANs seem to be there quite stably after reboots. Although the installation of the Intel might be a little "ugly" involving a PCI riser sticking out from the side of the box, if there were advantages using Wireless on a separate interface I might swap the Intel for the other VLANs and use the Realtek for Wireless.
