Snort not working

hello all :)

I just installed the package snort but it is not running: only the first site in gui is loaded. I get something like :

Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /etc/inc/pfsense-utils.inc on line 704 Warning:

and

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: gettext() in /usr/local/www/snort_download_rules.php on line 72

and much more.

When I start snort via shell then it seems running.

Can someone help?
