      There's a point against feature creep, but given that this is a firewall/routing platform, a tool like this might be immensely useful:

        it's easy to include in the builds, but you want a gui page for it?

          Well, that would be nice, but just being able to ssh to the devcice, going to the shell, and doing some work, cut&paste into the web interface would be better than nothing, because the alternative would be to install it (if at all possible) on every client from which a pfSense box is being administered, or having to open up an ssh connection to some other host, just to run the utility.
          Maybe I'm a bit atypical in the sense that a lot of the things I do is on non-local devices, but I like the idea that all the tools I need to adminster a device are local to it.
          Actually, the one major draw-back of many things being done at the shell level is that pfSense doesn't include man pages…

            Sounds like a better candidate for a package.

            Can't argue feature bloat if it's a package. :-)
