      When I run some specific tasks on my VM's the CPU and Memory usage spikes - nothing crazy, the most is 49% so far.

      But… Why is it that when I stop these processes and power down the VMs that the CPU usage tends to go back to normal (1-2%) but the memory usage stays pegged at the ~49% number?

      Obviously I can't just reboot because this is a production image however I am curious.

        What is your host os/ Dom0? Virtualizer/Emulator/Hypervisor?

        Some OSs love to cache. This is good.
