      My Box:
      2.1-BETA0 (i386)
built on Tue Jul 3 17:55:18 EDT 2012
      FreeBSD 8.3-RELEASE-p3

Notice a few issues with how barnyard2 stop/starts

      Doesn't start on reboot
Doesn't start when you start snort via services (but if barnyard2 is running and select stop, it will stop barnyard2)
Able to start within the Snort GUI but it shows that its not running
Doesn't stop when you stop Snort via Snort's GUI, if you start snort again; another instance of barnyard2 will start

PS Show file running as /usr/local/bin/barnyard2
PSS Noticed when start snort via its GUI, it uses path /usr/local/bin/snort then /usr/pbi/snort-i386/bin/snort
PSSS PHP on startup [08-Jul-2012 00:46:34 UTC] PHP Deprecated:  Function split() is deprecated in /usr/local/pkg/snort/snort.inc on line 1501
