I tried to install Dansguardian on clear installation of pfSense-LiveCD-2.1-DEVELOPMENT-amd64-20120713-0119. It doesn't start with wierd errors in configuration files:

dansguardian[30772]: Error parsing the dansguardian.conf file or other DansGuardian configuration files

You need to link it's configuration. I'll look for the post on this forum from someone that did it.

Shouldn't the package do that? Or do you mean as a temporary workaround?

well,  I've tryed your sugestion but it didn't work. I have made a few adjustments:

                ln -s /usr/local/etc/dansguardian/dansguardian.conf /usr/pbi/dansguardian-amd64/etc/dansguardian/dansguardian.conf
                ln -s /usr/local/etc/dansguardian/dansguardianf1.conf /usr/pbi/dansguardian-amd64/etc/dansguardian/dansguardianf1.conf

I think it should be this way, right? but it gave me the same error.
