Modem to PFSense to Router to MultiWAN
-
To wome it may concern:
I am looking to set up a transparent firewall that monitors, filters, logs, and stops (incoming/outgoing) communications. This box is a dedicated box that only has two NICs. The modem will assign an IP of 192.168.1.2 to the PFSense box, then i plan on having the PFSense box run one (1) IP to the router to limit the possibility of infiltration and assignment of any IP beyond the firewall except to the router. My router will then run the remainder of the network (I have a Cisco 2800 router, I am not worried about anything after the PFSense box).
My question is: in the web configuration how do I create a SINGLE IP route to the router? I do not want more than that. Is it practical to do what I envision?
Thank you for your time.

Transparent box would need 3 nics, 1 wan, 1 lan & 1 management
