Figured I would bring up an old topic.
      Background:
      http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,46031.0.html
      http://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/1938

It's marked as a feature but I feel it should be a bug. When pfSense splits out its FW log, it should all be on 1 line. Not 2 lines. This makes it harder to send FW logs to an external syslog, or even use the dshield framework that was build under pfsense (1.2.x) http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,12307.0.html

      Any ideas or suggestions?

The current suggestions are all on the ticket.

If we can find a good solution there that works for everyone, we'll commit it, either as the new default or a selectable option.

Since we're just outputting what pf+tcpdump output, it wants two lines for the longer output.

not sure I haven't looked at the ticket in a while in that much detail.
