    im having same problem ..cannot ssh to my pfsense
    mayb my ssh not started yet ..how to check ??

      I cannot quite figure it out.  Not sure.  At the same moment my SSH connection went down, I lost the ability to remotely connect to the pfsense WebUI as well.  Only way to correct it is to reboot pfsense but that is only a temporary fix.  So I'm intentionally keeping the "broken" pfsense box online and NOT rebooting it to see whether anyone knows a real, long-term fix I can test.  Will keep you posted.

      EDIT: this is closest thing I could find, but doesn't seem to apply to my situation.

        wrong seting ..after look around in the internet
        i managed to get it right. Thanks ..
