      Hi Dude,

i am new to pfsense, interested in setup a good firewall. Before that need to have a test environment.

So i have setup a VMware environment to have 1 LAN/ 1 Wan.

i have added Lan / Wan Rule to allow any - any icmp packet pass, but i could not able to ping to internal host as well as external host.

Anybody can help me to setup this environment.

      Thanks :)

is vmware host on Windows or linux?

theres a guide to windows host setup here http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Installation_With_VMWare_under_Windows

its not hard to setup and runs OK underVMWare so there must be something basic wrong with your setup.
