Ipsec tunnels up but no traffic

I'm trying to connect two 2.0.1 pfsense boxes over ipsec.
the tunnels come up ok and when i ping from hosts on eithe local subnet to the remotes i can see states created in the state table.

however i cannot see any data arriving at either box.

looking at the SAD tab on the status page shows traffic leaving the tunnel but none being received.

both boxed have the fire wall open to any any on both sides.

any ideas?

you really need to post your vpn config for phase 1 and 2.
