I am a wally - I don't know how many times now I have started off with a new 2.1 image on a CF card, or reset a  system to factory defaults, then I do a firmware update. It downloads the whole thing, then tells me that the image is unsigned and so it won't install it. Then I remember to go to Firmware, Update Settings and check the Unsigned Images box. Then it has to download the same image all over again. I did it to myself again just now!

Is it feasible for the code to do some sort of quick check first to see if the image on the server is unsigned? Then warn the user about this before downloading the whole thing?

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."
