Install pfsense on HD and then transfer HD to another system?

Is this possible or will the OS once installed have a problem with new hardware…ie CPU...Bios...etc

I am aware that the nics will be different and have to be reassigned.

I am asking this because of systems I have which do not have cd-rom drives.

I've done this from time to time and never had an issue. The only possible problem I can think of would be if the BIOS of the two computers had different translations for the HDD.
