Looking for shallow 2u rackmount chassis
-
I can find 1u 8-9-10 inch deep units…..but no 2u. All the 2u chassis are 15" or deeper. I am trying to standardize all my builds. And the atx power supplies seem to be more dime a dozen than flex-atx ps.
Any help? Newegg has several of the 1u boxes I like.
Would like a 2u shallow unit that could handle mini-itx or micro-atx MB's.
Thanks in advance.

Been looking for a case with same specs for a long time with no luck.

Ok….....78-(
I am tired of building a box w/ a ton of dead space. I do like the 1u boxes, just seem to need a bit more room for expansion cards or drives.

I run a series of supermirco 1U all with dual HDD's (I could probally show horn a couple more in) and 6x intel GBE nics
D525 with 8GB ram
how much more could you want in a 8" 1U :D

Thanks Star…......lol
And I want the I/O in the front and power out the back. 78-)
I like the 1u size. Does the D525 have dual nic built in? I am eyeing the intel 2500cce.
The 2u gives room for CPU cooling and can install a micro atx /w multiple expansion cards.

Check ProtocaseDesigner, design your case and order it.
I share the interest in all the features you ask, also the use of standard ATX PSU is a great feature if you live in a country with a flawed electric service.

my supermicro has 2 or 3 built in (maybe 2 nics + one shared with IPMI?) and then i added in a quad port.

I would HIGHLY recommend you get a supermicro, they are server quality with a price thats inbetween server quality and consumer crap
