Console Lock Feature Request
-
How about a console lock option that requires one of the pfSense user credentials to unlock?
Default state after boot: Locked
-
already exists and has for quite some time, System>Advanced.
-
Cool, thanks, didn't notice that before. :-[
This spawns two more questions for me though.
-
How about clearing the screen upon locking console so that any potentially sensitive info is not visible.

Loosly related; When logging in with a user created account, other than the system admin or root account, a FreeBSD shell is presented instead of the pfSense commands screen.
Best can tell from web GUI System: User Manager, it is configure same as the system admin account.

Shell users do not work like GUI users. We don't yet have a way to safely give them the same permissions as the admin user. We don't display the menu because it will not work properly for them.
