I came across this little gem while surfing Newegg for something completely unrelated, and thought "this would be perfect for a new pfsense build."

Fanless, small form factor, dual Intel NIC, external PSU, serial port for embedded image, and has decent style too. It also has mini-pcie if you wanted to go wireless, and it looks like there are places in the case to punch out antenna holes.

I think this is the board they are using in it, but I'm not 100% sure.

I don't know if all of the hardware on it would be BSD supported, but it looks like all of the important parts would be. Hopefully this will fit the bill for some of the people I see on the forum looking for low power Atom pfsense boxes.

Nice. That does appear to tick all the boxes.  :) + sim card slot!

Cool! Wonder what's the fifth RJ-45 connector. It has 5 x RJ-45, but only 4 of them are ethernet.

              It's a serial console connection.

                Even better?

Check the SuperMicro ITX boards with 4xGbit and IPMI. The only con is the PRICE.

Yea seems a little pricey. Best off with an old Watchguard box.

                  Kind Regards,
                  Craig
