After missing my old PFsense full install because I moved, I've decided to do it right for once. I've bought an Alix.2D2, Wifi-miniPCI and box, to build a nice new and shiny firewall  :D

I prepped the CF card a few days ago, today I received the hardware and within a few minutes all was booting up fine… That's what I thought at least...  ???
The boot stops directly after "bootup complete" that means that I don't get the possibility to assign the interfaces or even see which interfaces get which IP and all.

When I use an ethernetcable to connect it directly to my laptop, I do receive a DHCP address from the PFsense box, and after login in to the Web console, the wizard kicks in.
Isn't this a bit weird, and shouldn't I get the assignment and boot menu to fully make use of all features, and for troubleshooting purposes?

I've tried searching, but couldn't find anything similar.

      Anyone got a clue?

      Some specs:
      Alix.2D2 with Bios 0.99h (latest)
      PFsense 2.0.1 2G 1386 NanoBSD

Nano defaults to vr0 as LAN (closest to the power connector). No need to assign interfaces at boot.
So you see the bootup on the serial console, but don't get the menu?

True, I can use the LAN interface and the WebGUI, but I miss the menu a little. Especially for troubleshooting purposes…

I use 2d3's all the time, and haven't seen a problem with the menu. Are you using the standard nano image?

Yes, the standaard 2.01 Nanobsd (2G) version. Don't get it either, but maybe I'll try a new download and new image write on the CF Card. Maybe a glitch in the image-write.

This morning I've downloaded a new version of the image from a different mirror. Wiped the CF card and wrote the new downloaded image to the card. After plugging it into the pfsense box, this is the result:
