Dropbox website through squidguard

  • Recently installed a pfsense proxy server alongside our multiwan pfsense router. (Wanted to keep it separate so i didnt break anything on production router)
proxy is squid+squidguard. non-transparent. I have it filtering our head office as well as web access for our stores. we have need for the dropbox website to be accessible as some of our suppliers use it for marketing material etc. I added dropbox.com to a whitelist but whilst the site would load it was blank with empty image boxes. Upon viewing the source code for the webpage there are multiple references to dt8kf6553cww8.cloudfront.net allowing this to the whitelist and dropbox website now works fine.

Hope this saves someone some time and effort. This forum has saved me headaches many times over. ;)
