Hi Guys, I have just got my fibre optic broadband fitted and want to use my pfsense VM on proxmox to connect to my fibre modem using PPPOE. I have 2 physical NIC's installed in the server, when I setup the WAN nic to use the fibre modem (PPPOE) it never connects to the net and it gives me a kernel panic crash report in the web configurator, is this because its a bridged connection through Proxmox?

Any help would be much appreciated many thanks Chris.  :)

Does you ISP requires a constant MAC address for the NIC?  If so, you have to know that spoofing the MAC for PPPOE in pfSense does not work.

If this is the case then I may suggest you a workarround solution to spoof your MAC address.
