The logs and dmesg show the following:

      v
      i<p64>:v
      i<5p>2 l
      i<6n>:
      <5M>Ak
      <s6>StT
      E <r5>a
      t<e6>- >
      B<a5c>Kc
      h<an6g>eU
      P< (5m>od
      <6t>roe
      <fr5>e
      D<6O>qWu
      e <n5t>N</n5t></fr5></an6g></a5c></e6></r5></s6></p64>

I suspect it's trying to tell me that one of my vip's is going up and back down (That's another bundle of fun I can't seem to solve.) Anyone have any idea what this might be caused by?

on multi-processor machines, sometimes two kernel messages can print at the exact same time and interleave their text.
