Weirddest DNS issue, pfsense 2.0.2
Can't resolve youtube.com and others.
pf has 188.8.131.52/184.108.40.206 as external resolvers
dig @220.127.116.11 google.ca >> works fine
dig @18.104.22.168 youtube.com >> times out
FROM PFSENSE CLIENT MACHINES:
dig @22.214.171.124 youtube.com >> works fine!!
what sort of magic is this?
Try with dig +trace and it may be more helpful.
This was a fun one, pf wasn't at fault at all.
My DSL modem wouldn't pass packets bigger than a certain size.
This only happened once a day for ~20 min.
Youtube DNS query is about 10x the average query due to the 10 or so mirrors they include,
which is why it didn't work.
