      Hi Guys,

Just looking for a little bit of advice/confirmation really!

I currently have a OPNsense Dual Ghz rack edition- 19" pfSense appliance running:

      Version 1.2.3-RELEASE
built on Mon Dec 7 22:23:31 EST 2009
      Platform nanobsd

on both. The flash card inside appears to be a 512mb one from /etc/nanosize.txt

Would i be correct in saying that i can simply turn off all the CARP and failover stuff, download the below image:

      pfSense-2.0.1-RELEASE-512mb-i386-nanobsd-upgrade.img.gz

and then simply proceed with the standard firmware upgrade from the webgui?

      Thank you in advance
      Ben

        Yes, pretty much.
You should be able to upgrade directly from the GUI without separately downloading anything.
        Read this: http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Redundant_Firewalls_Upgrade_Guide
        and this: http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Upgrade_Guide

If you have any doubts the safest thing you can do is buy two new CF cards and use those instead. Restore a config backup onto the new 2.0 image and you should be good to go. That way you can quickly and easily go back to the old cards if something doesn't quite go to plan.

        Steve
