      Hi all,

We have a running pfsense firewall in our office. Avoid bulk user download i created a in and out limiter for 1Mbps. Then i applied that for lan client from any to any rule. Limiter works perfectly for me and sppedtest.net showed my bandwidth is 1Mbps. But there is a one client who is downloading beyond the limiter value. When i checked the traffic graphs he is downloading around 5 to 6 Mbps speed even our WAN link also capable to handle maximum 8Mbps.

Any one have a clue on this ? I don't know where to start the troubleshooting.

The only way to happen is you ahve a rule somewhere to override this.

Or you have UPnP enabled and he's transferring data through rules opened by UPnP which wouldn't get limits applied.
