My pfSense 2.0.1 NanoBSD ALIX 2D3 system reboots itself too often (five times since September 2012 according to remote syslog records). About a month ago I arranged to record console output and have captured two panics that are nearly identical.

Does the similarity of the panics mean I have a software rather than hardware problem? I don't want to buy new hardware only to end up with the same issue. If the hardware is OK I should probably try a 2.1 build to see if the newer FreeBSD fixes a problem in the VIA Rhine driver.

      Thanks for any advice.

Unfortunately without a backtrace from that panic it's really hard to say. The message it's giving is fairly generic, it could go either way (hardware or software)

Thanks, Jim. Maybe I'll get lucky with 2.1.
