SquidGuard error page

I have set up squidguard in a pfsense box and everything is working except every time a page is blocked by the proxy

i receive the folowing error. Ideas?

The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: https://192.168.1.1:4443/sgerror.php?

The following error was encountered:
Connection to 192.168.1.1 Failed

The system returned:
(92) Protocol error

The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.

This error occurs only when i use https as the webconfigurator protocol.

You have set "int error page (enter error message)", right ?

Don't know the exact reason anymore but this seems to be "normal" when you do not use http (80) as GUI port and protocol.
If you redirect to an external webserver you can do this with other ports.

There are some threads on the forum which do explain why this isn't working.

Yes that is correct. Though i think its just the protocol and not the port because i still have set port 4443 and switched to http and it works.
