Older snapshot download??

  • I need an older Full Update tgz. The captive portal is broken in all currently available snapshots.
The one from December 7th, 2012 seems to work well. Does anyone have that file/link or know where to find it?

Which captive portal features are not working in your setup? Indeed there have been quite a few changes with the captive portal over the last few weeks but I'm using the Dec, ~16 build (local user auth) and the captive portal seems to work ok.

  • Captive portal is broken in various ways that far back. Report what the issue is with specifics and it'll get fixed, there's no going back. Seems to work for everyone else now.

  • Here it's also working without problems…
Last time I did had some problems I reinstalled without restoring as match config as I could...
And now I'm running problems free on a live system.

So I like to suggest to backup your config, reinstall and re-configurate all settings using your old config as guide.
You could/should probably restore the Captive Portal Vouchers.

    Hope that will help.

  • I just updated to the latest snapshot and created a basic captive portal with local authentication but I am not even getting redirected.. just have internet access as if there is no CP.

I had a build from 2 days ago (19th) and that would show me the captive portal page but would not login, instead would just keep taking me to the login screen over and over.

Updated. I cannot very practically clean install at 10 different physical locations… is this really necessary?

Almost never. Only possibly if you were messing with packages marked as unstable, which may leave things behind that could cause problems.
