      Hi,

What is the best way to install ebtables onto pfsense. Here's my info:

      FreeBSD router.pfsense.local 8.1-RELEASE-p13 FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE-p13 #1: Fri Dec  7 16:55:26 EST 2012     root@snapshots-8_1-i386.builders.pfsense.org:/usr/obj./usr/pfSensesrc/src/sys/pfSense_SMP.8  i386

I can't compile it from source since I can't seem to get 'make' installed either.

      Any help is appreciated.

      Thanks,
      Ethan

ebtables is used to do filtering on a Linux bridge
        pfSense uses FreeBSD

Although Linux and FreeBSD do have similarities at the user-land level, they're very different at the level of the network stack and packet filtering in particular.

          Thanks for the info.

Do you happen to know of any packages that will allow me to do the following:

On the LAN interface, I need to create filter rules which, based on MAC address can redirect DHCP requests to a different port. I'd like to implement multiple DHCP pools and send clients to specific DHCP servers based on their MAC.
