    Hi,

I am trying to figure this out, but I'm not quite sure where to look.
We need the ability to have multiple DHCP pools for a single interface (LAN). MAC address will be used to determine which dhcp pool to direct the client to.

One possibility is to use multiple dhcp daemons running on the pfsense box on different ports. We can then use ebtables to redirect clients to their designated dhcp server. Unfortunately, we cannot run ebtables on pfsense.

Does anyone have any experience with something like this?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Ethan

That looks very interesting. I just upgraded to the beta 2.1 release to check it out.

However, I also need the ability to serve public IP's in addition to private, so they may be on different subnets.

The current multi-pools code doesn't support different subnets but it shouldn't be too difficult to add in the future. It would just need a couple extra statements in the dhcpd config declaring the shared network, etc, etc.
